High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Rudy Gay (vs LAC – $5,300): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Gay had 35.3 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 18. He’s been solid for the Spurs for most of this season and shown a high ceiling. And if DeMar DeRozan doesn’t end up playing in this game, it’s only going to increase Gay’s value because it means more scoring opportunities for him. Diagnosis: Very reliable and ceiling could be raised if DeRozan is out.

Nicolas Batum (at IND – $5,100): Needs 21.5 fantasy points. Batum had 27.6 fantasy points against the Suns on Saturday. He’s as inconsistent as they come but he’s been playing well enough in recent games. The minutes are typically there for him and he can do a bit of everything when he’s on his game. I’m not in love with him but I’m not in love with a lot of players on Sunday. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good ceiling.

Davis Bertans (vs LAC – $4,100): Needs 17.3 fantasy points. Bertans has turned into a reliable option off the bench for the Spurs. The shots are typically there for him and he chips in with rebounding. And if DeRozan is out, he’ll probably see some extra shots in this one as the Spurs will need a tad more scoring. The matchup is a good one given the tailspin the Clippers are in. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
