High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Joel Embiid (vs HOU – $10,100): Needs 48.1 fantasy points. Embiid is listed as questionable with a back injury but he’s been listed as questionable for the last week and has continued to play. So I’m going to assume that he’ll play in this one. And if he does, I love him in the game. Centers are feasting on Houston as they don’t have Capela and Embiid is the best center in the league. By my math, he will feast on Houston. Diagnosis: Very reliable with with a very high ceiling.

Rudy Gobert (vs POR – $8,500): Needs 40.5 fantasy points. Gobert continues to put up monster numbers even in limited minutes. This will be his toughest test as Nurkic can be a handful, but Gobert did put up 51.5 fantasy points against the Blazers on Christmas. And with the way he’s been playing, another 50-plus fantasy point game does not seem out of the question. He’s always good for a double-double. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at UTA – $7,900): Needs 37.6 fantasy points. Much like Gobert, Nurkic continues to deliver for the Blazers. He had 42 fantasy points in 26 minutes against the Pelicans on Jan. 18. He only had 26 fantasy points against the Jazz on Christmas and he doesn’t always get big minutes. But he should be around value in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
