Players costing $6,250 or under

Al Horford (vs MIA – $5,800): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Horford has been reliable if nothing else in his last three games. The good news is that his minutes have been up. But Horford just isn’t much of A DFS player, especially with the way his assist numbers have dropped off in recent games. The worse news is that Horford has not done well against the Heat in recent outings. But minutes will be there and thus the potential is there as well. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good ceiling.

DeMarcus Cousins (at LAL – $5,700): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. Cousins returned to the lineup on Jan. 18 against the Clippers and had 31 fantasy points in 15 minutes. His minutes will stay down for a bit but it’s obvious that Warriors are trying to get him involved as much as possible. And they have the perfect team to pick on as the Lakers are reeling with injuries and just frontcourt issues. I like him more than Horford if you’re torn between the two. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Derrick Favors (vs POR – $5,100): Needs 23.8 fantasy points. Favors has seen his minutes drop a bit but some of that has been due to blowouts. The minutes should be there in this one and even in limited minutes he’s putting up solid production. He had just 22.5 fantasy points against the Blazers on Christmas but played just 19 minutes. Assuming he gets his usual 25-28 minutes in this one, he’ll get you at least value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
