High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Eric Gordon (at PHI – $5,900): Needs 27 fantasy points. Gordon had 43.75 fantasy points against the Lakers on Jan. 19. With Paul and now Capela out of the lineup, Gordon becomes even more important. And because I’m a little wary of Harden in this game, I expect Gordon to step up even more. He’s always a reliable option when he’s in the starting lineup and the second option to Harden. And he’ll be a reliable option in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

JJ Redick (vs HOU – $5,700): Needs 26.1 fantasy points. Redick continues to shoot the ball well for the Sixers and I love this matchup. When teams see the Rockets launch 3s, they want to match them. But the Sixers aren’t a great 3-point shooting team outside of Redick. Which means Redick will likely get more shots than usual. And he already takes a good number of shots. Redick will have a strong outing in this one. Diagnosis: Love the circumstances and think he’s reliable with a good ceiling.

Gerald Green (at PHI – $4,400): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. Green has moved down the list of options with Gordon healthy again but he still gets plenty of minutes and rarely lacks for shots. His value is largely tied to his scoring and shooting but again, the Rockets take all the shots and Green is one of their better shooters and creators. He’s good for at least value in this matchup. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
