High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Kevin Durant (at LAL – $9,500): Needs 43.2 fantasy points. You typically know what you’re getting from Durant. Even with Cousins back in the lineup, Durant is always reliable with his scoring and he’ll chip in with rebounds and assists. The Lakers don’t have an answer for him and he should easily get his numbers in this one. The lesser salary certainly helps his cause on Monday. The only real concern is a blowout but maybe some free time in LA have the Warriors hungover. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Ben Simmons (vs HOU – $8,600): Needs 39.6 fantasy points. I love Simmons in this game due to the Rockets lack of frontcourt presence. He had 52.75 fantasy points against the Thunder and I’m expecting another big rebounding game out of him as the Rockets are without Capela and don’t have much to keep Simmons and Embiid off the boards. And he’s always good for points and assists. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a big ceiling. I like him more than Durant.

Brandon Ingram (vs GS – $6,900): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Jimmy Butler was a late addition to the injury report but if he’s able to play, I like him more than Ingram. I don’t even mind Winslow in this spot as he’s a bit more reliable. But I want to discuss Ingram because his circumstances are good as the Lakers are without a point guard. This doesn’t mean that Ingram will deliver. He’s never really proven that he can deliver. But he’ll have the opportunities to do so. Diagnosis: High ceiling but also, he’s Brandon Ingram, which is basically a taller version of Andrew Wiggins.
