DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 21, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Josh Richardson (at BOS – $5,600): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Richardson looked more like him against the Bulls and had 34.75 fantasy points. Granted, it was the Bulls. He had 32.75 fantasy points against the Celtics on Jan. 10. And it’s not like the Celtics are playing great on the defensive end right now. If nothing else, Richardson should at least get you value in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Royce O’Neale (vs POR – $4,600): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. Aside from a rough outing against the Pistons, O’Neale has been very good for the Jazz since joining the starting lineup. He was up to 43.25 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Jan. 18. Of course, that was the Cavaliers. The Blazers are a tougher matchup but I like him as the role player who steps up for Utah in this one. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
Evan Turner (at UTA – $4,300): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. Turner had 30.25 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Jan. 18. He’s been good for the Blazers this season and good as a DFS option due to his low salary, his usual minutes and his ability to run the second unit. The matchup is great, but much like I like O’Neale to be the role player who steps up for the Jazz, I like Turner to be that guy for the Blazers. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
