High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (vs HOU – $11,000): Needs 49 fantasy points. Embiid had 49.6 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 19. And he should be even better in this one. The Rockets have no frontcourt presence and Embiid is the best center in the league. I can’t envision Embiid not having a monster game in this one. The points and rebounds should be there without a doubt and he’ll chip in with defense and assists. Diagnosis: I love everything about Embiid on Monday. Expect a monster game from him.

Rudy Gobert (vs POR – $10,600): Needs 47.3 fantasy points. Even in blowouts, Gobert is producing. He had 53.5 fantasy points in 27 minutes against the Cavaliers on Jan. 18. Points and rebounds are rarely an issue for him, he’s picking up his assist numbers with Rubio out and he always makes a defensive play or five. This is one of his tougher matchups during this stretch but he’s earned this trust. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Julius Randle (at MEM – $8,200): Needs 36.6 fantasy points. No Anthony Davis means more Julius Randle. There are two ways to look at it. Some guys step up and produce bigger numbers. Other teams completely collapse without their star player and can’t pick up the slack. Randle has been good this season and this is a good matchup. I’m going to trust that Randle makes it happen in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
