Players costing over $6,667

Ben Simmons (vs HOU $10,000): Needs 42.6 fantasy points. Simmons had 48.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 19. This is a great matchup for him because the Rockets defense isn’t good and with their lack of size, Simmons should be a force on the boards, much like he was against the Thunder. He’ll get his usual points and assists as well. Expect a strong outing out of him in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Steph Curry (at LAL – $10,000): Needs 42.6 fantasy points. Curry continues to just give reliable numbers for the Warriors and your DFS team. Even when he’s not shooting well, he’s still getting his scoring numbers and chipping in in other areas. This is a game where the Warriors are going to come out strong after losing to the Lakers on Christmas Day. This could get ugly when it comes down to it. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling but a blowout is in play.

De’Aaron Fox (at BKN – $8,000): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. Fox has been solid but it’s been awhile since we’ve seen him flash his ceiling. This is a great matchup for him and it should be a high scoring affair with both teams getting their numbers. And Fox has dropped to a good salary to where he can produce over value. It’s a good night for point guards but I like Fox based on his matchup and his salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
