High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Spencer Dinwiddie (vs SAC – $5,900): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. As good as the high salary point guards are, the value point guards aren’t quite as good. Dinwiddie was down to 22.9 fantasy points after his 46.4 fantasy point explosion against the Rockets. He hasn’t been good since LeVert’s injury and it seems like the Rockets game was more the exception than the norm. But the minutes and shots should be there and the matchup is good. Diagnosis: Very inconsistent but a high ceiling.

DJ Augustin (at ATL – $4,900): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. Augustin is a reliable option for the Magic. He’s going to get you value if nothing else and he has a chance to go over value in this one because the Hawks aren’t good and the Magic are a scrappy team who play hard. Augustin should get just enough scoring and chip in with assists to have a solid outing. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a decent ceiling.

Shelvin Mack (vs NO – $4,400): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. Mack had 25.1 fantasy points against the Raptors on Jan. 19. He’s been solid for the Grizzlies during this recent one and see some extra minutes with the injury to Anderson. I don’t like much about the Grizzlies, but Mack has proven himself capable so I’ll continue to trust him at this lower salary. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
