High Salary C

Players costing over $6,250

Karl-Anthony Towns (at PHO – $10,600): Needs 50.6 fantasy points. Towns had 61 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 20. With Ayton out of the lineup and Holmes also out, there isn’t much the Suns can do to slow him down. As long as he avoids foul trouble, he’s been dominating for the majority of the season. There’s no reason to think that domination won’t continue in this one. He should have another big scoring game and I expect his rebound numbers to tick up as well. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a very high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at OKC – $7,500): Needs 35.8 fantasy points. Nurkic had 50 fantasy points against the Jazz on Monday and now he gets his matchup. He had 40.5 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 4 and typically gets the better of Steven Adams, which is something you’re not going to read very often. This is one matchup that I’m confident in based on Nurkic’s history. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.

DeAndre Jordan (vs LAC – $6,400): Needs 30.5 fantasy points. Jordan had 39.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Monday. He continues to be an inconsistent option but this is his matchup. He’s averaging 51.1 fantasy points in two games against the Clippers this season. He’s been dominating his former team and even though I typically like him, this is a matchup where I’m very comfortable in taking him. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a very high ceiling.
