DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 22, 2019
High Value C
Players costing $6,250 or under
Steven Adams (vs POR – $6,200): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Adams dips under the salary which is good news. I don’t love this matchup for him as he never seems to play well against the Nurkic. But the minutes will obviously be there for him and Adams can put up points and rebounds, especially rebounds, with the best of them. At this salary, he’s at least a reliable option. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
Serge Ibaka (vs SAC – $5,900): Needs 27.6 fantasy points. Ibaka had 26.25 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Jan. 19. He’s been solid if unspectacular in recent outings. He did have 38.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 7 and the matchup remains a good one for him due to the Kings not playing well and their pace. Ibaka should do enough to at least get you value in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable.
Quincy Acy (vs MIN – $3,500): Needs 16.4 fantasy points. Once again, the circumstances should be in Acy’s favor. He had 22.25 fantasy points in 19 minutes against the Timberwolves on Jan. 20 with the injuries to Ayton and Holmes. If both players are out once again for the Suns, Any once again most for a good punt option who will get playing time. You can also look at Taj Gibson in this spot given the Suns frontcourt woes. Diagnosis: Reliable depending on the injury report.
