DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 22, 2019
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
Devin Booker (vs MIN – $8,300): Needs 38.7 fantasy points. Booker was down to 32.5 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 20. The Suns were on a back-to-back and missing two key frontcourt contributors so maybe that would explain Booker’s dip. He should be better with the Suns having a day off and being at home. But he could still be without a nice safety valve in Ayton. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
Buddy Hield (at TOR – $6,900): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. After his big 55.75 fantasy point outing against the Pistons, Hield was down to 22.25 fantasy points against the Nets on Monday. It’s a back-to-back for the Kings and a tough one as the Raptors are a very good team. He’s picked up his rebounding which is a good sign for his value. But he still needs a lot of points to justify the salary on most nights. Just too many red flags for him in this game. Diagnosis: High ceiling but I’m not a fan of the matchup.
Derrick Rose (at PHO – $6,300): Needs 29.4 fantasy points. Rose was up to 40 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 20. He continues to deliver and is outplaying Teague, which is leading to bigger minutes. The Suns are a good matchup because they are the Suns. Rose should be in for another big scoring night and he’ll probably pick things up with his assists a bit. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
