High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

CJ McCollum (at OKC – $6,000): Needs 28 fantasy points. McCollum had 23 fantasy points against the Jazz on Monday. He typically plays very well against the Thunder but had a rough outing in the Jan. 4 game. And he’s been all over the place this season. It’s still a proven matchup for him but there is some risk involved based on how he’s played throughout this season. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good ceiling.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (at DAL – $4,600): Needs 21.5 fantasy points. SAG followed up his 40.25 fantasy point game against the Warriors with just 15.5 fantasy points against the Spurs. The minutes and opportunities are still there for him, which is the good news. And the Mavericks are on a back-to-back. As mentioned in a previous slide, you can almost take your pick between the Clippers’ guards. One of them will have a big game. Speaking of… Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a high ceiling.

Avery Bradley (at DAL – $4,000): Needs 18.6 fantasy points. Bradley had 29.75 fantasy points against the Spurs. He’s been all over the place this season but all the injuries lead to good circumstances for him. He can do a bit of everything but he mainly gets it done with scoring and rebounding. Once again, the matchup is good but I don’t have a great read on the Clippers’ guards right now. They all get equal opportunities. One just plays better than the other depending on the night. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a good ceiling.
