High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Karl-Anthony Towns (at PHO – $10,600): Needs 47.3 fantasy points. Towns had 61.4 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 20. The only thing that has slowed him down this season has been Jimmy Butler (he’s gone) and foul trouble. With the Suns not having a big worthy of fouling, Towns should be his normal self in this game. Expect another strong scoring and rebounding night out of him where he also chips in with a handful of assists and rebounds. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Jusuf Nurkic (at OKC – $9,200): Needs 41.1 fantasy points. Nurkic had 52.6 fantasy points against the Jazz on Monday. And this is Nurkic’s matchup. He always gets the better of Adams and is one guy who constantly frustrates him. Until I see the Thunder slow down Nurkic, I’m not going to believe it. His ceiling might not be quite as high at Towns’ but he’s still in a good position to give you value and then some. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a good ceiling.

DeAndre Jordan (vs LAC – $7,000): Needs 31.2 fantasy points. I typically don’t like Jordan because he’s all over the place but he just brings it against his former team. He’s averaging 49.8 fantasy points in the two games against the Clippers this season. It’s a back-to-back for the Mavericks which is slightly concerning but they are better at home and I know Jordan will be up for this one. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.
