Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Rose (at PHO – $6,600): Needs 28.1 fantasy points. Rose had 39.3 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 20. Even coming off the bench he’s playing big minutes and outplaying Jeff Teague. Until I see differently, I trust that his scoring numbers are just going to continue to be there this season. The assist numbers have been down but the Suns remain an excellent matchup for him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Patrick Beverley (at DAL – $4,700): Needs 20 fantasy points. Beverley was up to 53.9 fantasy points against the Spurs on Jan. 20. With Lou Williams out of the lineup, a guard has to step up for the Clippers. It was Beverley against the Spurs but it was SAG against the Warriors. Both guys will continue to get opportunities to produce. You can flip a coin on which one delivers. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a high ceiling.

Jalen Brunson (vs LAC – $3,700): Needs 15.8 fantasy points. While SAG has a higher ceiling than Brunson, there is more certainty to Brunson’s game. He had 26.1 fantasy points against the Bucks on Monday. The minutes are typically there and win the injuries (or non-injuries) to the Mavericks’ point guards, Brunson is going to keep getting minutes and chances. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
