High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Dennis Schroder (vs POR – $6,200): Needs 26.6 fantasy points. It’s a two-for-one special when it comes to value so pay attention. Schroder has been all over the place this season but he’s been more good than bad in recent contests. Minutes and shots are never an issue from Schroder coming off the Thunder bench. He had just 20.1 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 4 and is a bit of a risk. Your slightly cheaper option is Andrew Wiggins who is just as unreliable as Schroder. So flip a coin but I prefer Schroder. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good ceiling.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (at TOR – $5,900): Needs 25.3 fantasy points. Bogdanovic had a monster 46.7 fantasy point game against the Nets on Monday. His minutes have been all over the place recently but when he plays he typically delivers. You slightly more expensive option is Buddy Hield, whose salary remains too largely tied to his scoring. At least Bogdanovic does a bit of everything. Diagnosis: A tad inconsistent with a high ceiling.

Wesley Matthews (vs LAC – $4,300): Needs 18.5 fantasy points. Matthews had 44.1 fantasy points against the Bucks on Monday. It was his first good game in a while so be wary of the trap performance. The minutes and opportunities are usually there for him, which is the good news. Your other option here is Delon Wright, who might be slightly more reliable but whose ceiling isn’t quite as high and his minutes aren’t exactly guaranteed either. Diagnosis: Inconsistent but a good ceiling.
