The Green Bay Packers were one of the more disappointing teams in the NFL this past season, and their head coach got the axe because of it. Mike McCarthy struggled to get along with star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and in the end, the organization decided they would rather have an All-Pro quarterback, than a head coach who has won one Super Bowl in his tenure.

Green Bay finished the year towards the bottom of the NFC North, and will now role with a first-year head coach in Matt LaFleur. He will be tasked with turning around a team that played uninspired football for most of 2018, though they should be hungry to get back to the top of the division in 2019.

In the 2019 NFL Draft, the Packers have two first round picks and should use the first one on an elite defensive lineman. Rashan Gary has the size to play on the inside but has that skill set that teams desire in his ability to get after the quarterback, and this defense needs help in that area in a big way.

Green Bay has the talent to be a playoff team in 2019, and with two firsts, they have an opportunity to get better on both sides of the ball. Gary makes so much sense here at No. 12, as the Packers secondary took a step forward this past season, and bolstering the defensive line is only going to make them that much better.
