Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Dexter Lawrence. 19. player. 35.

The Tennessee Titans pulled off one of the more impressive road victories of the playoffs last season, as they went into Kansas City and beat the Chiefs inside Arrowhead Stadium. That win was the biggest of Marcus Mariota’s young career as the starting quarterback for the Titans and was supposed to springboard them into taking the next step in 2018.

Well, the Titans failed to make the playoffs, as they could not get the job done at home against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football in Week 17. Heading into the offseason, they have a lot of work to do with this roster, especially with how good the AFC South is looking to be in 2019.

While Mariota should continue to get better, the Titans need to be more consistent as a team. The defense just looked bad on too many occasions during the 2018 NFL season, especially up front, and that is where they should focus their first round draft pick when the draft comes around in April.

Dexter Lawrence from Clemson had to sit out the entire College Football Playoff due to a failed drug test, but it should not affect his first round draft status too much. The fact is, he is one of the better defensive linemen in this draft class, and if he is there at No. 19, he would be a perfect fit for the Titans defense and defensive-minded head coach Mike Vrabel.
