2019 NFL mock draft: Jaguars get Kyler Murray
By Brad Weiss
The Seattle Seahawks were a feel-good story this past season, as Russell Wilson once again took the team on his back, and into the playoffs. Heading into the season, not much was expected from the Seahawks, who looked to be in rebuild mode, especially after bringing in a bunch of new faces on the coaching staff.
One familiar face on the staff was the head coach, as Pete Carroll may have had his best season as a coach in 2018. Sure, he has won national titles and Super Bowls, but this was a team that was expected to miss the playoffs, and he coached them up to a Wild Card spot, which was downright impressive.
Entering the 2019 offseason, Seattle has a lot of work to do, including bolstering a defense that seriously stepped up in the 2018 season. They need some help on the edge, and if he is still available at No. 21 overall, Brian Burns from Florida State would be an excellent addition to the Seahawks defense.
When Seattle is running at its best, they have some dominant players on the edge, and Burns can be just that. During his time at Florida State, Burns established himself as one of the best pass rushers in college football, and at the NFL level, he has that special skill set that could amount to double-digit sacks, especially in this Seattle defense.
