Players costing $6,250 or under

Ante Zizic (at BOS – $6,000): Needs 28.5 fantasy points. If Thompson and Nance Jr remain out, you can keep taking Zizic. His salary has jumped up there but someone has to get points and rebounds for the Cavaliers. And he’s a double-double threat in those two categories. Maybe his hot streak runs out at some point but until I see it, I’ll keep rolling with him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable.

Noah Vonleh (vs HOU – $5,800): Needs 26.9 fantasy points. Vonleh was down to 18.75 fantasy points against the Thunder on Jan. 21. But the Rockets have nothing in the frontcourt, even with the addition of Faried. I don’t know if it’ll be Vonleh or Kanter who will deliver. Kanter is more reliable if he gets the minutes. But Vonleh is more reliable to get the minutes. The Knicks are just weird and bad but a frontcourt player is going to do damage to the Rockets due to their lack of anything in the frontcourt. Diagnosis: High ceiling but flip a coin and maybe go after Kanter.

Jahlil Okafor (vs DET – $4,600): Needs 21.8 fantasy points. Okafor had 40 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Jan. 21. We’ve seen this before from Okafor. When he gets the minutes, he typically does well with his scoring and rebounding. And it looks like he’s going to get the minutes for the Pelicans in place of Anthony Davis. Of course, the minutes could disappear at a moments notice and he’s never proven long term reliability. Diagnosis: High ceiling but still unproven.
