High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Kyrie Irving (vs CLE – $9,400): Needs 43.6 fantasy points. There is a very real possibility of this one being a blowout. The Cavaliers are a very bad basketball team. But Kyrie is on a roll, going over 60 fantasy points in three of his last four games. And even in a blowout, Kyrie seems good enough to at least get you value. And if the Cavaliers can somehow keep it competitive, that’s even better for his value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling if the came is close.

D’Angelo Russell (vs ORL – $8,000): Needs 37 fantasy points. Aside from an off night against the Rockets, Russell has been fantastic for the Nets. He’s been over 55 fantasy points in three of his last four games. It’s a question of whether or not his game is sustainable but until he shows major signs of slipping, you can keep taking him with confidence. This one should be an offensive affair. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Zach LaVine (vs ATL – $6,900): Needs 31.9 fantasy points. LaVine had 33 fantasy points in 25 minutes against the Cavaliers on Jan. 21. This one should be more competitive. Both these teams are pretty bad but LaVine is, on the whole, the best player on the court. Which goes to show the talent level of these two teams. And the pace will be high, which lends itself to fantasy points. There’s good value across this game though I won’t mention it too much just because none of the value guys are all that reliable and this game will probably get weird. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
