DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 23, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Terrence Ross (at BKN – $5,700): Needs 25.9 fantasy points. Ross had 38.25 fantasy points against the Hawks on Jan. 21. He continues to prove the scoring and he’s been chipping in in other categories during this recent run. He had 24 fantasy points against the Nets on Jan. 18. He’ll need to be better in this game given his salary and I expect him to be better given how well both of these teams are playing right now. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
DeAndre’ Bembry (at CHI – $5,300): Needs 24.1 fantasy points. Bembry had 35.5 fantasy points against the Magic on Jan. 21. He’s been good more often than not as a member of the starting lineup and if Kevin Huerter is unable to play, Bembry’s opportunities will increase. And it’s the Bulls. I don’t have a great feel for this game because neither team has established talent but Bembry is at a good salary given his usual production. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Reggie Bullock (at NO – $4,500): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. Bullock continues to be a nice value player for the Pistons. I don’t like the Pistons at all and they don’t have anyone who is reliable outside of Blake Griffin but Bullock has been doing well enough and is at a good price. And the Pelicans defense isn’t all that great. Bullock gets the minutes to produce and can chip in in all categories, plus get hot from the field. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
