Players costing $6,250 or under

Rudy Gay (at PHI – $5,700): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Gay had 32 fantasy points against the Clippers on Jan. 20. With DeRozan not being good, Gay has stepped up alongside Aldridge to pick up the slack for the Spurs. He’s reliable with his scoring and rebounding. And he had 37.5 fantasy points against the Sixers on Dec. 17. I love Gay’s game right now and expect him to deliver once again. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Derrick Favors (vs DEN – $5,300): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. Favors had 31.25 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 21. His minutes are still a tad low for his salary but he’s making the most of the minutes he is getting. He had just 21.75 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Nov. 3, but played only 19 minutes. I assume he’ll get his usual 23-25 minutes in this one. And if he does, he’ll get you at least value. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

P.J. Tucker (at NY – $5,200): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Tucker was down to 21 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 21. But don’t be too concerned. The Rockets just weren’t competitive and Tucker didn’t get his usual minutes. Even if his minutes are down in this game due to a potential blowout, he’ll still deliver at least value given his salary and his ceiling is much higher given the circumstances. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
