High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Joel Embiid (vs SA – $10,800): Needs 48.3 fantasy points. Embiid had 64.8 fantasy points in 27 minutes against the Rockets on Jan. 21. He’s never really played well against the Spurs but if Butler and/or Simmons are out, it’s going to be a lot of Embiid. And we’ve never seen Embiid in this form. I trust him with everything right now because he hasn’t gone wrong much this season. He’ll have his usual big outing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling. Take with confidence if Butler and/or Simmons are out.

Nikola Vucevic (at BKN – $9,900): Needs 44.2 fantasy points. Vucevic had 54.8 fantasy points against the Hawks on Jan. 21. And he had 48.4 fantasy points against the Nets on Jan. 18. Aaron Gordon is expected to be back in the lineup which will take a little away from Vucevic. But I still trust him to get his numbers in the game because, as mentioned previously, this should be a high pace game with a lot of offense. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Myles Turner (vs TOR – $7,200): Needs 32.2 fantasy points. Turner had 44.3 fantasy points against the Raptors on Dec. 19. With the Raptors on a back-to-back, they may have some tired legs and Turner can take advantage of them. Turner has been very good this season and I trust him a lot right now. And he’s at a good salary compared to the rest of the centers. The points and rebounds will be there for him and he always comes up with defensive plays. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
