High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Evan Fournier (at BKN – $6,100): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Fournier has been over 40 fantasy points in two of his last three games, including a 40.1 fantasy point effort against the Nets on Jan. 18. He’s been all over the place this season but he’s playing well right now and as mentioned in previous slides, this should be an offensive showdown with multiple guys chipping in. Fournier does a bit of everything on most nights and I’ll trust him here, although those are famous last words. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.

Eric Gordon (at NY – $5,300): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. Gordon was down to 14.8 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 21. The good news is that the Rockets got a little bit of rest in the blowout. The better news is that they get the Knicks. Nothing has cured a bad game like a game against the Knicks. Harden should be able to take the night off and defer a bit more to Gordon. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Dwyane Wade (vs LAC – $4,900): Needs 21 fantasy points. Wade was down to 20.4 fantasy points against the Celtics on Jan. 21. I’m going to chalk it up to an off night and expect him to be better in this one because he’s typically strong against the Clippers. He had 44.2 fantasy points against them on Dec. 8 and 53.7 fantasy points against them in a game last year. And the Clippers are on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.
