High Salary PF

Players costing over $6,667

Blake Griffin (at NO – $9,800): Needs 42.2 fantasy points. Griffin had 42.8 fantasy points against the Wizards on Jan. 21. He needs to do a bit more given his salary and circumstances. With Davis out of the lineup, he’ll have a great chance to do more in this game. He had 47 fantasy points against the Pelicans on Dec. 9. The scoring and rebounding will be there. It’s just a matter of teammates hitting shots for his assist numbers. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Julius Randle (vs DET – $8,900): Needs 38.3 fantasy points. Randle has been at 40 fantasy points in his last two games. The opportunities continue to be there for him with Davis out of the lineup. The points and rebounds will continue to be there for him. And it’s the Pistons. They are not good and Randle should be able to feast inside, especially if Drummond is out of the lineup once again. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

LaMarcus Aldridge (at PHI – $8,200): Needs 35.3 fantasy points. It’s an all chalk night at power forward. The guys below the top players are just a bit too unreliable for my liking. Though I do like John Collins against the Bulls because I like John Collins and I don’t like much about the Bulls. As for Aldridge, he’s been playing very well for the Spurs and has had to pick up his game with DeRozan struggling. The Sixers will throw Embiid on him, but Aldridge hits tough shots and the Sixers could be lacking starters, meaning Embiid’s load gets heavier. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
