Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Favors (vs DEN – $6,000): Needs 25.8 fantasy points. Favors had 32.8 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 21. His minutes have been down more than I’d like given his salary but he’s still making the most of his minutes. He had 22.5 fantasy points in 19 minutes against the Nuggets on Nov. 3. I’m going to assume he’ll get more minutes in this one. And if he gets his usual minutes, his production will increase. Diagnosis:

PJ Tucker (at NY – $5,500): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. Tucker had 25.7 fantasy points against the Sixers on Jan. 21. The circumstances are still great for Tucker as even with Faried, the Rockets need a lot of help in the frontcourt. And defense is more important in FanDuel. And it’s the Knicks. Tucker should provide more scoring in this one while chipping in with rebounds and defense. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Marcus Morris (vs CLE – $5,300): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. This one could be a blowout but Morris is at a good salary and it feels like a game where he makes an impact since he lives to terrorize the Cavaliers. Especially the Cavaliers without LeBron. And the Cavaliers who might be down a couple of key frontcourt players. This should be a nice scoring and rebounding outing for Morris. Diagnosis: Love this matchup and a good ceiling.
