Interior Defensive Lineman

Isaiah Buggs, Alabama

Nate Davis, Charlotte

Greg Gaines, Washington

Kingsley Keke, Texas A&M

Charles Omenihu, Texas

Dontavius Russell, Auburn

Khalen Saunders, Western Illinois

Gerals Willis, Miami

Rennell Wren, Arizona State

Christian Wikins, Clemson

Jerry Tillery, Notre Dame

Onto the defensive side of the ball and starting up front. The biggest name that appears on this list still has not accepted the invitiation in Clemson’s Christian Wilkins. Both he and underclassmen teammate Dexter Lawrence have been pegged as first round picks.

The players that are here represent a mix between big-school prospects with a solid resume to small school players looking to make a splash. The first name on the list, Isaiah Buggs, is a positional versatile defensive lineman who needs to be more consistent but has shown flashes of dominance playing in Nick Saban’s defense. Gerald Willis from Miami was a finalist for the best defensive lineman in the country award. After transferring to Miami, he led the team in tackles for loss and was a force throughout the season.

Two players to really keep an eye on here are Arizona State’s Rennell Wren and Texas’ Charles Omenihu. The latter has the ability to be a first round pick. Omenihu is a technician who can dominate in Mobile. He possesses a skill-set the NFL will value with his versatility. Wren on the other hand knows what he is but just needs to continue to show that the flash plays will come more than the duds.
