Players costing over $6,250

Russell Westbrook (vs NO – $10,700): Needs 49.8 fantasy points. Westbrook had 67 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 22. It’s Westbrook and numbers are never an issue for him. Not having to go through Anthony Davis should certainly help his cause in the paint. This will be a tight game where Westbrook will log his usual minutes. A triple-double is never out of the question for him either. He’ll get you value if nothing else but expect more. Diagnosis: You can always build confidently around Westbrook.

CJ McCollum (at PHO – $6,300): Needs 29.2 fantasy points. There’s a chance that Damian Lillard doesn’t play in this one. My guess is that Lillard does end up playing but it’s the Suns and the Blazers might feel confident enough that they don’t need Lillard in this game, so they hold him out in favor of his long-term health. If Lillard doesn’t play, it means more McCollum. And at this price against this matchup, McCollum will have no trouble delivering. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling if Lillard I out.

Derrick Rose (at LAL – $6,500): Needs 30.1 fantasy points. Rose was down to 16.25 fantasy points against the Suns on Jan. 22. I’m not too concerned. He’s been good all season and he should have a bounce-back performance in this one. The Lakers are no good without LeBron and Rose should be able to carve up their defense with his scoring and passing. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.
