High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Paul George (vs NO – $9,600): Needs 43.1 fantasy points. Much like Westbrook is Westbrook, George is Geroge. The two are a two-headed DFS monster for the Thunder. He was up to 64 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 22. He does a bit of everything and has a high ceiling with his scoring ability. The Pelicans defense isn’t great and George should be able to produce his usual strong outing in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Kevin Durant (at WAS – $9,000): Needs 40.4 fantasy points. Even though Curry and Klay are the nuclear options, Durant is the steady option. He’s at a good salary and typically gets his numbers because he doesn’t have bad scoring nights and does a bit of everything, including defense. Maybe the Warriors placate him in this game since it’s in Washington. They are good enough to just feed one guy all game and let him work. Durant would be the option in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.

Kyle Kuzma (vs MIN – $6,900): Needs 31 fantasy points. Kuzma was down to 20 fantasy points against the Warriors on Jan. 21. I’m not too concerned, mainly because no one on the Lakers played well in that game. And the Timberwolves are definitely not the Warriors. And Kuzma is still the best player for the Lakers as long as LeBron is out. If Rondo is back, that helps Kuzma’s value as he’ll get him better shots and take some offensive pressure off him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
