DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – January 24, 2019
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,250
Julius Randle (at OKC – $7,800): Needs 36.1 fantasy points. Randle is another Thunder killer. He’s averaging 1.46 FPPM in two games against the Thunder this season. His minutes will be up in this one with Davis sidelined and I trust Randle to deliver, even though it’s a back-to-back for the Pelicans. Once again, guys who kill the Thunder, always kill the Thunder. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Draymond Green (at WAS – $6,000): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. Green is under the salary line but he’s the next high option on this list. He was down to 24.75 fantasy points against the Lakers but played only 23 minutes. That’s the risk with the Warriors right now, especially against these weaker teams. They can run anywone off the floor and it will limit their minutes. And Draymond isn’t the guy who will run any team off the floor with his scoring like the other four. Diagnosis: High ceiling if the game is competitive.
Trevor Ariza (vs GS – $5,900): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Ariza had 43.5 fantasy points against the Pistons on Jan. 21. He’s been playing very well for the Wizards since the trade and always does a bit of everything. The matchup is tough but Ariza is at a decent enough salary and maybe the Wizards surprise everyone and make this game competitive. If they do, Ariza’s contributions will be a reason why. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
