High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

DeMarcus Cousins (at WAS – $6,400): Needs 28.5 fantasy points. Cousins’ minutes were up against the Lakers but his production was down. The minutes should continue to climb and the production will level out. The higher salary is a bit concerning but I would imagine that the Warriors will keep playing him and featuring him in order to get him back in the flow of the game. And the Wizards don’t really have an answer for him. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.

Jahlil Okafor (at OKC – $5,500): Needs 24.5 fantasy points. Okafor continues to deliver in the starting lineup. The matchup is tough because the Pelicans are on a back-to-back and the Thunder have a pesky frontcourt, but Okafor will continue to get the minutes and opportunities to post numbers while in the starting lineup. Knowing that, I’m going to continue to trust him in this spot. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Kevon Looney (at WAS – $4,600): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. Looney was up to 33.6 fantasy points against the Lakers on Jan. 21. His minutes are still solid because the Warriors keep blowing teams out. And he’s good as a high energy player coming off the bench. The Wizards don’t offer much when it comes to the frontcourt or depth so Looney should be in for a reliable outing. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.
