Players costing $6,250 or under

Jaren Jackson Jr (vs SAC – $5,400): Needs 25 fantasy points. Triple J hasn’t been great during this recent stretch but at some point, the Grizzlies are going to give him all the minutes and let everything run through him. And he’s done very well against the Kings this season, averaging 35.8 fantasy points in three games against them. I’m going to continue to trust that Triple J can get it done against this matchup. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.

Marvin Bagley III (at MEM – $5,300): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. MB3 was in the starting lineup against the Raptors on Jan. 22 and he finished with 43.75 fantasy points. I’ve loved his game all season and if he’s going to keep getting big minutes in the starting lineup then he’s even more of a reliable player because he can do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: Take with confidence if he’s in the starting lineup.

Kenneth Faried (vs TOR – $5,300): Needs 24.6 fantasy points. Faried was inserted into the starting lineup against the Knicks and he has 33.5 fantasy points. The Raptors are a much better team than the Knicks but Faried is a good player for the Rockets in this position because he can rebound and finish lobs. He remains at a good salary and should continue to play big minutes, probably more than he’s had all season in this one. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a good ceiling.
