High Value C

Players costing $6,250 or under

DeMarcus Cousins (at BOS – $6,200): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Cousins had 30.5 fantasy points against the Wizards on Jan. 24. His salary will continue to climb, but so will his minutes. This is the first real test for Cousins and the Warriors so I’m very interested in seeing what happens. I’m going to trust him in this spot given the guys around him and his overall talent. Diagnosis: Reliable and maybe a good ceiling.

Al Horford (vs GS – $5,700): Needs 26.5 fantasy points. Horford had 44.5 fantasy points against the Heat on Jan. 21. His minutes are back up and the Celtics are going to need him in a big way in this game. He played well in both games against the Warriors last season, averaging 38.3 fantasy points in two games. But this is an even better Warriors team and Horford hasn’t quite been the same. Diagnosis: Slight risk but a good ceiling.

Mike Muscala (at DEN – $4,200): Needs 19.5 fantasy points. Once again, this is based on circumstances. With Embiid out, Muscala could end up getting more minutes. Much like Bolden, nothing is certain but he’s played relatively well when in the starting lineup in a handful of games this season. He’s not going to hurt you too much and could hit big if the minutes are there. Diagnosis: A good ceiling if minutes are there.
