Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (vs PHI – $11,000): Needs 49.3 fantasy points. Jokic didn’t play against the Suns and it’s not like the Nuggets needed him anyway. He’ll be back in the lineup in this one and he’s returning to a favorable matchup as the Sixers will be without Embiid. This should be a big game for Jokic and he’s the most reliable option on the Nuggets because you know everything runs through him. The only concern is a blowout as the Sixers will lack the firepower to keep up. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling if the Sixers can keep it close.

Jusuf Nurkic (vs ATL – $9,500): Needs 42.6 fantasy points. Speaking of guys not needed against the Suns. Nurkic wasn’t needed and had just 29.3 fantasy points in 24 minutes. This one could be a blowout as well although the Hawks can be scrappy just due to their pace. And Nurkic should get the minutes due to the Hawks frontcourt. Diagnosis: Reliable but a blowout could limit his ceiling.

Myles Turner (at MEM – $7,600): Needs 34.1 fantasy points. Turner continues to produce for the Pacers. While there are question marks about Nurkic and Jokic just due to potential blowouts, there’s no real question mark with Turner. He’s at a lower salary and he’ll get you value. Plus he has a good ceiling. And that ceiling increases with Oladipo out of the lineup. I’m a big fan of Turner in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
