High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jaylen Brown (vs GS – $4,800): Needs 20.6 fantasy points. I don’t love Jaylen Brown but he’s playing well right now and gets enough minutes and opportunities to at least make some kind of an impact. And, as mentioned in the previous slide, it’s a pretty bad night for shooting guards. Brown is a guy who has proven he can step up in these situations but there’s definitely something off with him this year. Diagnosis: A slight risk but a decent ceiling.

Andre Iguodala (at BOS – $4,400): Needs 18.9 fantasy points. Iguodala is someone I like more than Brown just because his minutes and opportunities are more guaranteed. But his ceiling isn’t as high. But Iguodala typically plays next to at least two All-Stars and can do a bit of everything. He’s also the glue that helps hold the team together. But there are no fantasy points for that. Diagnosis: Reliable with a decent ceiling.

Torrey Craig (vs PHI – $4,200): Needs 18 fantasy points. It’s tough to make sense of the Nuggets guard rotation right now with Harris and Barton coming back. Craig is still getting decent enough minutes but those could fall off at any moment. I like this matchup for the Nuggets since the Sixers will be missing some players. But that could also lead to a blowout. Craig at least gets the minutes on most nights. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a decent ceiling.
