FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – Jan. 26, 2019
High Value SF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Bojan Bogdanovic (at MEM – $5,400): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. Bogdanovic had 26.8 fantasy points against the Raptors on Jan. 23. With Oladipo out, Bogdanovic is a guy who will have to step up. And he can do it. He was good more often than not when Oladipo was out earlier this season. And he does a bit of everything which helps his value. The good news for the Pacers is that they are getting a poor Grizzlies team on a back-to-back. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
Tyreke Evans (at MEM – $5,100): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. Evans is not nearly as reliable as Bogdanovic but there’s a lot to like in this matchup. First, it’s a revenge game as he returns to Memphis. And while eh hasn’t been good this season, with Oladipo gone for the year, Evans is a guy who has proven that he can step up offensively. Maybe this is the game where he can remind everyone of what he can do. Diagnosis: A slight risk but a lot working in his favor.
Gordon Hayward (vs GS – $5,000): Needs 21 fantasy points. A quick note on Will Barton. I like the matchup for the Nuggets but Barton might get rested on the back-to-back and the Nuggets are a tricky team to predict with their talent and balance. And the Sixers could be in for a long night with their injuries. That said, Barton is probably more reliable than Hayward. But Hayward’s ceiling could be higher. He’s a guy who can step up in this game and be that spark that maybe puts Boston over the top. Diagnosis: Barton is more reliable. But Hayward’s ceiling is higher if he steps up like we know he can.
