High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,667

James Harden (vs ORL – $13,800): Needs 58.9 fantasy points. Harden was down to 46.9 fantasy points against the Raptors on Jan. 25. So before I start on Harden, let me give some quick notes on Luka and Beal. Both are probably more reliable given their salary. But the Spurs can be a tough matchup for any team and typically do a good job taking away the top option. And Luka may have his hands full with Kawhi and an angry Raptors squad. So there’s Harden. Who has red flags of his own with Chris Paul coming back. But Harden has the highest ceiling because the man is capable of over 90 fantasy points. Diagnosis: A risk because of his salary and circumstances. But I’m not enamored with Beal or Luka either.

Donovan Mitchell (at MIN – $8,700): Needs 37.1 fantasy points. While I don’t love the three guys ahead of Mitchell, I love Mitchell. And think he’s one of the top plays on the night. He’s been rolling since Rubio’s injury and even with Rubio back, he’s the clear star on offense. He had 51.9 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Jan. 25. He will deliver once again in this one. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.

Devin Booker (at LAL – $8,300): Needs 35.4 fantasy points. And while I love Mitchell, I might love Booker even more. The minutes and opportunities will always be there for him as the leader of the offense and this might be an actual competitive game for the Suns because the Lakers are not a very good team. And Booker will look to put on a show in Los Angeles in front of LeBron. I’m expecting a big game for Booker and if nothing else he’s a reliable option. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a high ceiling.
