1. Le’Veon Bell, RB Pittsburgh Steelers

Coming in at number one is Le’Veon Bell. Of course, Bell would be the top target the Jets should pursue, and the team would be crazy not to offer him big contract to come to the big apple.

Yes, adding Bell does seem slightly far-fetched due to his comments about coming to the Jets last offseason and with FanSided’s report via Matt Verderame that he prefers to sign with the Miami Dolphins. Regardless of that, Bell is the only offensive player in this free-agent class worth running the table for.

All regular season the talk surrounding the Jets’ offense was how the team needs to add as much as they can around Sam Darnold. Well, adding Bell gives the young quarterback a workhorse running back who can catch passes out of the backfield and line up as a wide receiver.

The three-time Pro Bowl, and two-time All-Pro, running back is 26 years old (turning 27 in February) and he has a fresh body after sitting out the 2018 regular season.

Bell is due for a big payday, but the Jets are in prime position to fulfill such a demand. They shouldn’t compromise their financial future too much, but with a lot of cap space that shouldn’t be too much of a worry.
