Mentioning Sean McVay Over/Under 1.5 Times (-175)

Betting on what the broadcasters are going to talk about is always a good bet. We have Tony Romo in the booth for the Super Bowl for the first time, and we know how much he loves to talk about the opposing coaches. He’s going to predict the defense that each team sits in before the play gets going, and he will talk about the game plans of Sean McVay and Bill Belichick.

McVay is one of the biggest storylines coming into the Super Bowl. He literally just turned 34 years old, and is one of the most talked about coaches in the league. The Arizona Cardinals had many scratching their head when they hired Kliff Kingsbury, but they literally spoke about his past with McVay as a reason why he was hired.

McVay might get mentioned 10 times during the broadcast. The odds are little higher on this one. For those who don’t know, -175 means you have to bet $175 to make $100 dollars on the bet. In most scenarios, you’d want to steer clear of those kinds of odds, but this is such a gimme. There aren’t many bets in Vegas where it’s easy money, but this is one of them.

First Reception By Sony Michel Over 1/2 Yard (-110)

This one is a more traditional prop bet. Here you are betting one something that is actually happening on the field. We mentioned before that Tom Brady is going to need to go to his running backs over and over again. Sony Michel isn’t known for his receiving prowess like James White, but there’s a reason to make a move on this bet.

The Rams defensive line will cause major issues throughout the night. Brady is going to pass to his running backs more often than just when White is on the field. Vegas is betting on Brady ignoring Michel in the passing game, like he has for most of the season, but there are factors to say this is a good bet.

For one, like we mentioned, how the Rams defense is laid out. The other factor, and possibly the most important one, is Belichick loves to provide new schemes and looks that he hasn’t used all season. Michel wasn’t a part of the passing game in the first 18 games, but the Pats coach will throw things for a loop in this game.

Will Team Make Field Goal In Third Quarter (Yes -130)

This seems like a simple enough bet, but this might be the biggest risk of all the prop bets on here. Yet, the third quarter seems like the most likely time fans can see a field goal. Both teams will want to start fast in the first quarter, so settling for field goals doesn’t seem likely. They won’t want to go for field goals in the fourth quarter unless it makes sense with the score, which is possible but is a lot to count on.

That’s why we chose the third quarter. This is where coaches are trying to set themselves up for success in the final quarter. That’s where coaches tend to keep their risks low, which means more field goals and less going for it on fourth down. That’s why this quarter is the one to bet on for a field goal.
