High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,667

Kyrie Irving (vs BKN – $10,500): Needs 45 fantasy points. You can always save $900 and take Curry. I’m all for grabbing Warriors because that starting lineup is going to put up big numbers every single night. But Irving is more reliable just due to him having to do more for his team. The scoring numbers will continue to be there and he’s been racking up plenty of assists. The Nets, even with their injuries, are scrappy enough to keep this competitive. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Trae Young (at LAC – $7,200): Needs 30.8 fantasy points. Young has been all over the place this season, which is to be expected as a rookie. But he was up to 46.4 fantasy points against the Blazers on Jan. 26. And he had 48.1 fantasy points against the Clippers on Nov. 19. The Clippers are also on a back-to-back. So there are positive signs for Young coming into this game. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable with a high ceiling.

Darren Collison (vs GS – $6,700): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. Collison has jumped into the high salary range with Victor Oladipo out of the lineup and his strong play. He was at 34.9 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Jan. 26 and will continue to see big minutes and opportunities due to the circumstances. The matchup isn’t great but maybe the Warriors have tired legs on this long east coast trip. And Collison’s salary still isn’t bad compared to the rest of the high salary guys. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
