5. K.J. Wright, linebacker

Linebacker figures to be one of the biggest areas of weakness that the Browns will address in free agency and one name that could intrigue them is Seahawks standout, K.J. Wright.

Wright has dealt with a knee injury in 2018, limiting him to just five games, but he has served as one of the most unheralded and important members of the Seattle defense since the club drafted him back in 2011.

With Jamie Collins as a potential cap casualty, John Dorsey could envision bringing in a dynamic player like Wright to help rebuild his free agent value on a short-term deal. He would immediately bring veteran leadership and a well-rounded game to a young Browns defense, particularly one that struggled to stop the run last season.

The Seahawks have made headlines over the past year in their willingness to part ways with their veteran defensive presence as they turn over their own roster, so it’s very possible that Wright is one of the next players on that list.

New defensive coordinator Steve Wilks should help to solidify the development of Cleveland’s young secondary, but it will be important to have a capable second level and Wright would allow them to do just that.
