High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs NO – $13,600): Needs 62.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 71.75 fantasy points against Orlando. It’s James Harden. This salary is still very high but you know Harden is getting you at least 50 fantasy points. And some people just like those guaranteed points. The matchup is good and Paul being back in the lineup allows him to take more efficient shots instead of just more shots. I’m never going to say “don’t take Harden” because you can always take Harden with confidence. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.

Jrue Holiday (at HOU – $8,600): Needs 39.6 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 45.25 fantasy points against San Antonio. Holiday is always a reliable option. But I honestly don’t know what you’re going to get from him and the Pelicans on this night. On a normal night, Holiday would easily be a guy who hits value and probably gives you something extra. But this is not a normal night. This is “day after Anthony Davis said he wants out” night. Because of that. I just don’t know. Will Holiday play pissed off and boost his value? Will he sulk and realize it’s all a lost cause? I really don’t know. Diagnosis: I love Holiday. I want to say he’ll be motived. But you have to account for the “human factor.” Jimmy Butler might be more reliable. Beal could have a huge game due to the matchup (a blowout concerns me there). But Holiday could end up hitting huge.

Khris Middleton (at DET – $6,400): Needs 29 fantasy points. LAST GAME – 38.5 fantasy points against Oklahoma City. I don’t know if this game will be competitive but I know that the Bucks are going to be angry after not playing well against the Thunder and losing. And an angry Bucks team is a dangerous team. Middleton is still the second best option and he’ll get his buckets in this game. It’s not like the Pistons are any good. Diagnosis: Very reliable with a good ceiling.
