The Miami Dolphins are going back to the drawing board this offseason, as they will make another move at head coach. In his three years at the helm, Adam Gase led the Dolphins to one playoff appearance, and the hope is that the next guy they bring in can do a little better with the team in South Beach.

Miami has their targets set on Brian Flores, a defensive coach for the New England Patriots, who are currently playing in the Super Bowl. Not only is Flores a coach on Bill Belichick’s staff, but he is responsible for calling the plays on the defensive side of the ball, and would be a completely different coach than the offensive-minded Gase.

The Dolphins have to figure out what they are going to do at quarterback, but rumors swirled around the fact that they will focus on the 2020 NFL Draft to address that need. That means they should focus on the defensive side of the ball in 2019, and a guy like Montez Sweat would be a welcome addition to the Dolphins defense this upcoming season.

A product of Mississippi State, Sweat had a tremendous showing at the Senior Bowl, going from a late-first rounder, to a guy who could go in the first half of the first round. The Dolphins need some youth at the edge position, and in Sweat, they would be getting a devastatingly good defensive lineman who can make plays on the inside and out.
