Heading into the 2018 season, nobody really expected the Seattle Seahawks to make much of a run. Not only did they lose a lot of talent in terms of players in the off-season, there was a lot of turnover in the coaching staff, so it seemed to be a given that this was going to be a rebuilding season.

However, any team that has Russell Wilson under center is going to be a formidable force, especially in the NFC, where a lot of teams trended in the wrong direction in 2018. Wilson and head coach Pete Carroll lead the Seahawks back to the playoffs, as they clinched a spot as a Wild Card team, thanks to a surprisingly good effort from their defense.

Though there run in the playoffs was short-lived, as they lost to the Dallas Cowboys on the road in the Wild Card round, Wilson once again proved that he is one of the best starting quarterbacks in all of football. This is a team that is always going to be a force in the NFC, and it would make sense for them to bring in a player during the 2019 NFL Draft that can help bolster their defensive line.

One player who should hear his name called in the first round is Clemson defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence, who was forced to sit out the College Football Playoff after a failed drug test. While a failed drug test is never a good optic, it should not affect his status as a first round talent, and in Seattle, he could be a building block to a new Legion of Doom defense.
