Have you ever created a player in Madden who almost seems like he wouldn’t be fair if he existed in real life? From a physical standpoint, that’s Mississippi State’s Montez Sweat.

At 6-foot-6, 252 pounds and 35″ arms, Sweat is one of the most intriguing edge prospects in the 2019 class. After starting his career at Michigan State, Sweat became a menace on defense for Mississippi State and totaled 22.5 sacks over the last two years for the Bulldogs.

After leading the SEC in sacks in 2017, Sweat managed to follow that performance with an even better year in 2018.

It’s clear on tape that Sweat is an outstanding athlete who uses his length, size, and speed to terrorize opposing offensive tackles. His motor always runs hot and even shows the ability to drop into coverage from time to time.

He had an excellent week of practice at the Senior Bowl and is one of those players who could wind up going a lot higher than some anticipate, just like UTSA’s Marcus Davenport last year. However you look at it, the sky is the limit for a player like Montez Sweat and there’s no doubt a number of teams will be interested in him come draft day.
