For all of you still reeling from slide one that Bosa is not my number one overall player, it’s important to note that I don’t view the gap between him and Williams as wide by any stretch of the imagination.

Nick Bosa (6-foot-4, 263 pounds) has the name recognition of his NFL standout brother Joey and, to many, similar skillset and potential. While he only played in three games last season for the Buckeyes due to a core injury, there’s no doubt that Bosa will be an immediate boost to whichever NFL defense he plays for next season.

Like his brother, Nick Bosa possesses excellent size and length that should allow him to excel on the edge at the pro level. He is an outstanding pass rusher, blending power, short-area quickness, and violent hands to win both on the inside and outside. He plays with excellent awareness in the run game, setting the edge well and using his length to find the ball while shedding opposing blockers.

Bosa’s medicals will be the most important part of his draft process, and I’ll be fascinated to see how he tests at the Combine, which should really give an indication about how well he has rehabbed his injury over the course of the year. If all goes well, Bosa could be a franchise cornerstone defensive end for years to come.
