Last offseason, the Buffalo Bills saw a number of key veterans on the offensive front that had been vital parts of the team for a number of years leave for various reasons. Left tackle Cordy Glenn was dealt to the Cincinnati Bengals. Center Eric wood was forced into retirement due to a neck injury and controversial left guard Richie Incognito would eventually wind up being released by the club.

To say the play of the team in the offensive trenches this past season was shaky would be a vast understatement. Although the club finish ninth in the league in rushing yards per game, rookie quarterback Josh Allen actually led the club with 631 yards on the ground and had eight of the Bills’ 15 rushing touchdowns. Buffalo also allowed four different quarterbacks – Allen (28), Nathan Peterman (7), Derek Anderson (5) and Matt Barkley (1) – to be sacked a combined 41 times.

It is very conceivable that the Bills’ offensive line will undergo some more changes this offseason. One of those moves could be the possible departure of four-year right guard John Miller. So could a player also drafted in the third round in 2015 be a possible replacement. A.J. Cann has made 59 regular-season start for the Jaguars and three more in the ’17 playoffs. Of course, he could also fail to hit the open market in March. But if Jacksonville opts to let him test free agency, he would be a solid addition to Buffalo’s offensive line.
