22. Larry the Cable Guy, Nebraska Cornhuskers

There are few people in the world of comedy that are as singular as Larry the Cable Guy. Even when you put him next to the other gentlemen that partook/partake in the Blue Collar Comedy and their “southern”/”redneck” brand of humor, Larry the Cable Guy still stands out as a unique voice. He’s also unique in the fact that his fandom of the Nebraska Cornhuskers lands him on this list, which the other members of the group can’t claim.

When he’s not on stage producing long-lasting catchphrases such as “Git ‘R Done” or something of the like, there’s a good chance that the comedian, a native of Nebraska, is checking in on the Cornhuskers. Whenever it’s gameday in Lincoln, you can almost surely bet that Larry the Cable Guy is going to be a part of the Sea of Red supporting the Huskers.

A native of Nebraska, Larry the Cable Guy has long-standing ties to the state and to the school and team that he supports so proudly. Many times throughout any given season, you can see the unmistakable comedian on the sidelines patrolling what’s happening with his favorite college team. Moreover, you’ll often catch him outside of Lincoln still supporting the Huskers with his apparel.

Of course, the Cornhuskers lack of success recently has probably been hard for Larry the Cable Guy to live with, but he’s remained faithful. For the sake of his sense of humor — pretty important for a comedian, you might say — let’s hope Scott Frost can continue to turn this thing around in Lincoln.
