13. John Daly, Arkansas Razorbacks

There are no doubt some major celebrity figures in the world of golf. Though it’s a tame sport for the most part, there are still golfers that emerge to become stars in their own right. For guys like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, among many others, that’s because of their success. While John Daly has tasted success throughout his golfing career though, he’s a star for many other reasons.

Daly is perhaps the most colorful golfer that the PGA Tour has ever seen. While he’s never been an angel, he’s been exceptionally polarizing throughout the entirety of his golfing career, be it chain-smoking cigarettes on the course or doing fun things in charity pro-ams like hitting tee shots off of beer cans. Oh, and let’s not forget the fact that he can hit it a mile off of the tee with his driver.

His college golfing career, however, took him to the University of Arkansas and the golfing celebrity developed a deep love and tie to the Razorbacks football team in the process. He supports the school that he attended (though he didn’t graduate) frequently, often wearing some sort of Arkansas apparel whenever he’s out on the course, now playing on the Champions Tour (formerly the Senior Tour).

Beyond that, Daly can often be seen in Fayetteville back at his old stomping grounds supporting the Razorbacks out on the gridiron. You can’t miss him and his trademark look, and that’s for the better for all of us.
